I was struggling so much on WordPress instances in Digital Ocean that i decided to take a deeper look on how i can make my Digital Ocean WordPress Development Instance Download and Update plugins. 

I am glad that i found a solution after like 20 min of searching. This will help you if you have any development instances of WordPress on Digital Ocean. 

sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /path/to/WordPress_directory
